I was delighted to receive a copy of the first FarmPEAT Project newsletter this week and I am happy to share it here.
The FarmPEAT (Farm Payments for Ecological and Agricultural Transitions) Project is developing a locally-led, innovative, results-based farm scheme for farmers who manage lands that surround some of Ireland’s finest remaining raised bogs. These include Clara and Daingean Bogs in my own area. I was delighted to launch this project in July of this year.
There is something in this newsletter for everyone, young and old, farmer and non farmer and while there is lots to learn, it is presented in a very user friendly way. Well done team FarmPEAT!
