There are some really wonderful funding calls open at the moment and I want to ensure that the Midlands benefits from them. Many have closing dates approaching soon:
For our Built Heritage:
There are 3 schemes currently open which between them support the owners and custodians of archaeological monuments, protected structures and vernacular architecture like historic shopfronts. The funds cover maintenance ranging from minor but essential repairs to large-scale roof repairs.
For Climate and Biodiversity:
Community Water Development Fund administered by LAWPRO, Local Authorities Water Programme.
Peatlands Community Engagement Scheme administered by NPWS, National Parks and Wildlife service
The Climate Action Fund Climate Education, Capacity Building and Learning by Doing.
For Sport:
Ireland Active: Swimming pool grant scheme
For the Arts:
MEBAS 2022 to support those operating in the music sector
For Enterprise and Innovation:
Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment
This is not an exhaustive list but I hope it helps. Remember, these are calls that are currently open, some with very short windows to apply. There are many other opportunities for funding which are always open or will open at other times in the year. I will endeavour to keep you updated on these also. That said, do feel free to let me know if I have missed one that you think is important. Thank you.
Pippa
