It is my pleasure to represent Ireland in Kenya and Tanzania this St Patrick's Day. Whilst, I'm overjoyed to be able to represent my country abroad, I will miss attending my local parade in Edenderry; and seeing all the local groups, clubs and businesses display their Irish pride on our National Day.
So, I am excited to share this list of #StPatricksParades happening across #Laois and #Offaly this coming St Patrick's Day and to ensure you don't miss your local parade.
Mountrath, in Co. Laois will celebrate their 50th anniversary of the formation of their St. Patrick's Parade with a Carnival themed parade and, in Tullamore, they will have their 40th anniversary, with huge celebrations planned for the day.
Clonaslee, will hold their second ever parade, with a fantastic day planned for all the family and, in Clara, Co. Offaly, they will host RTE for the second time in their history this year - a huge triumph for their parade committee.
I want to thank all wonderful parade committees across Laois and Offaly for the incredible work that goes into hosting a parade and wish them all the very best.
Wherever you spend St Patrick's Day this year; I hope you and all your family will have a fun, safe day.
